MRI anyone?

So much to share - we met with Dr. David Brown Pediatric Orthopedist today to review ZoZo's X-Rays. She does not have Scoliosis or any visible skeletal deformities.
This still does not explain why ZoZo cannot hold her head straight, she holds it down to her left chest.
Dr. Brown felt like she either has a muscular issue/condition or she has a mass, tumor or cyst. He questioned if she had full movement of her arms, fingers, toes and legs. He additionally was concerned about a possible Cranial Deformity as he noticed some of the pictures seemed to show this. He highly recommended an MRI as soon as possible to make a better diagnosis. I have contacted our agency with this new information and I am awaiting their next step.
Please pray for ZoZo, if she is in any pain -pray it eases, if she has a tumor - pray it stops growing, pray for the MRI and what it might reveal.

two eyes and one little red bracelet

We received additional photos today of ZoZo the first thing I noticed was her beautiful eyes and one little red bracelet she was wearing. Her eyes look older than 3yrs old and tired but you see this sweet little red bracelet on her arm and it reminds you that she is not unlike all other little girls her age.

I stared at her picture for a long time, studying everything about her wanting nothing more than to scoop her up and protect her.

We pray for her safety, health and comfort. We pray for her caretakers. We pray for the paperwork to move quickly. We pray for the money needed to complete this process and bring her home.

We invite you to join us in these prayers.....

Calling all Persistent Prayer Partners!!

Please be Persistent Prayer Partners with us to bring ZoZo home!!

ZoZo is not just another "cause" to believe in or pray for. ZoZo is a sweet gift from God and we have been chosen to be a part of her forever family.
Financially we are not able to complete a crucial step in our journey to bring her home. We are stuck and I hate being here.
We are completely trusting that God will provide, he did not bring us this far to simply abandon us or her.
Luke 18:1-8 is the parable of the Persistent Widow. Persistent prayer is the demonstration of faith in the character of God’s attributes and the chronology of his actions. When you stop believing a prayer will be answered, you stop praying. You have given up hope. You have no faith.

Again, please be Persistent Prayer Partners with us to bring ZoZo home!!

Hey Mom can I borrow your iPod??  What no iPod? You better enter the  Let Love Grow Basket Drawing Give Away!!
I have shared my love for Apple and the iPod Touch is right up there for a couple of reasons. Sitting at the Dr's office with an impatient 4yr old (show me a patient 4yr old) is a big reason. I pull out my iPod and she is distracted from climbing up on the counter for at least a little while. Reason two is when I am at work and I need to focus on a Project I can listen to music and tune everything else out. The highlight of this basket is the Apple iPod Touch value $200.

OH MY GODIVA!!
How yummy are Godiva chocolates, am I right??? Included in this basket drawing is a variety pack of Godiva chocolates to soothe any stressful day. Pull out the iPod Touch you just scored, turn on your favorite tunes, close your eyes, and enjoy pure bliss. Value $45

Ok, so you have the iPod Touch, you have the chocolate, and now all you really need is some new tunes....um well, yeah iTunes that is :) How about a $50 value iTunes Gift Card to download your newest favorite music?

Finally wrap your self in Love with a new cozy throw. This basket includes a $40 gift card to Bed Bath & Beyond. Ahhh I feel the love!!!
So there it is my second basket giveaway. I am blissfully exhausted and buried in paperwork. Homestudy is done and hopefully we can raise enough funds to start the Dossier process.

No Purchase is necessary for this Basket Drawing.

We are selling Let Love Grow Wildflower Seeds to help raise money to cover ZoZo's adoption cost they can be purchased for $5 by clicking on the Donate button.  EVERYONE who Donates at least $5 will receive a Let Love Grow Wildflower Seeds packet.

Drawing Today for A Few of My Favorite Things Basket!!!

Unfortunately because of the PayPal issue suspending my account I was not able to promote this basket giveaway as much as I would like. Which means we were NOT able to raise enough money to completely cover the cost of the of the basket. We are not discouraged or dismayed we know that God will move mountains to bring ZoZo home!! To be fair we will still have the basket drawing tonight from those names who already gave.

Click Here to watch the Basket Drawing!!

That being said if you would like to Donate to help bring ZoZo home you can do so below. Only $2300.00 needed to start our Dossier and Fingerprinting process!

A quick update: Our homestudy update is this Wednesday, so we are frantic with cleaning. Keep in mind this is our 4th homestudy so we should know by now that this isn't necessary but I still freak out and panic anyway :)

ZoZo has severe scoliosis and we are not sure if it is infantile scoliosis or juvenile scoliosis, not that it really matters in terms of treatment. The condition is so bad that her head is actually position to the left of her body. We are awaiting the X Ray results from the Afr1ca Hospital that will hopefully give us a direction to take in terms of her treatment. We are focusing on getting her accepted into Texas Scottish Rite Hospital Scoliosis Treatment Program in Dallas. Please pray this all happens quickly we are eager to get her home so that we can start treatment quickly and minimize any pain and permanent damage.

Check back we will announce our next Basket Drawing later this week. Please spread the word and pray for ZoZo to come home quickly!!!

Moving Mountains

.... Sorry for the long hiatus... I am not sure where to even begin...

Last Thursday, shortly after promoting the My Favorite Things Basket, my husband had a medical emergency that required a short hospital stay. He is home now but we are still searching for "normal". I love singer/songwriter Liz Longley's song When you've got trouble, especially the chorus
My heart is tangled all around you
When you've got trouble, I've got trouble too
How true this is for Gary and I. We are so delicately intertwined that it is hard for me to stay above water when he is not beside me.

The day that the Dr. said he would be coming home I received a strongly worded email from Paypal advising that the Give Away Basket was a violation of their User Agreement and I would not be able to collect any further donations nor would I be able to access the current donations received. I finally spoke with someone at Paypal and they agreed to release our account so we could use the $500.00 collected toward bringing Zozo home but we could no longer use the Paypal donation button on my blog. We will still have the basket giveaway on the 24th!!

Mountains - I think our little Zozo will be a mighty warrior for Christ. I think it makes the enemy tremble at the thought of us bringing Zozo home.

Pray friends, please pray. Mountains need to move!! We only need $2700.00 more to start the dossier, fingerprinting, etc process in addition to the already $500 we have raised by your generous donations. We are so humbled by everything you have done and by how you have supported us.

I am open to suggestions since we can no longer use Paypal. What do you think is the best way to offer $5 giveaway chances for the My Favorite Things giveaway basket (includes and iPad and valued at $600)?

A Few of My Favorite Things Basket

I am so very excited for our very first Basket drawing!! This one is aptly named A Few of My Favorite Things. Included in this basket is an iPad, $50 Gift Card to Starbucks, $40 Gift Card to laMadeleine Restaurant, and a very yummy jar of Tomato Basil Soup - perfect for a cold winter night.

For every $5 donated for the next two weeks then I’ll enter your name into the drawing for this heart warming Basket. Give the post a shout out on Facebook or Twitter… I’ll enter you in again!! :) On January 24th I will randomly draw a name and someone will find out why these are just A Few of My Favorite Things.

I love everything Apple
, it's true. There is nothing easier than opening up my Macbook and working through the massive amount of paperwork that goes along with International Adoption. The same goes for my iPad!! I love being able to read my Kindle eBook on it, taking pictures, listening to music, letting Eliana play games or simply watching movies. These are just a few reasons why the Apple iPad - value $499 is the center and most special item in this giveaway basket.

aaah a cup of coffee before running out the door to join the rat race. There is nothing quite like it and nothing more soothing for me. Baby, it's cold outside and Starbucks is so very, very warm and here is a $50 gift card to buy as much as you need.

Finally on a cold winter night there is nothing more comforting than laMadeliene Tomato Basil Soup. When I am not feeling well Gary knows what is even better than chicken noodle soup and he will stop by laMadeliene's and immediately I feel better. I hope you enjoy as much as I do or find your new favorite with this laMadeliene Tomato Basil Soup and $40 gift card.

Just to remind you that this will be up on the blog until January 23rd…. and on January 24th…. I”ll do a video of the random drawing!! And then I’ll ship all these goodies to you.

After you donate……  post something about this on Facebook or Twitter and we’ll add your name again to the list.  Just be sure to friend me and tag me (Brenda Gorman) in your status on FB and mention me in your tweet!
